#Take4florida was an initiative that began in South Florida aimed at getting the word out about marine debris. When Katelyn kicked it off, it grew beyond Florida almost instantaneously. With that said, the campaign is now run as #take4sea2shore. This is a campaign run by Katelyn in her position as a conservation biologist for Sea to Shore Alliance. If you were interested or involved with #take4Florida previously, please consider supporting #take4sea2shore. We’ll replace any stickers you had, and enter you in all of our social media contests of course!
Trash is everywhere, and whether it’s your or not, PLEASE help out and pick up at least 4 items every time you leave the beach or are out on the ocean. SPREAD THE MOVEMENT. If everyone begins picking up 4 pieces of garbage every time they’re in contact with the sea, IMAGINE the impact WE could have. On Instagram tag #take4sea2shore, and @sea2shore in the photo to be entered into our contests!
Prizes have included the piece of art shown on the right donated by Eleanor Pigman the Seed Bead Artist, framed PropheSEA photography, artwork by Peter Agardy, products from Surf District, and surfboard accessories!
Please, please, please don’t walk by that plastic bag on your way to the parking lot.
